Planet : The Sun has a smoky, gum-like and slightly musky scent.
Its widespread use in the ancient world is evidence of myrrh’s popularity. In ancient Egypt, they burned myrrh, known as “phun”, as part of daily noon worship rituals, used with coriander and honey in cold sores. Besides the cosmetic use of the myrrh, there was also use in upper-class embalming, particularly in face masks.
Chemical components : Miric (acid), cinnamic, chimeric (aldehydes), eugenol (phenol), cadenine (sesquiterpene), pinene, dipentene, heerabolene, limonene (terpene).
Effect on the skin: It has strong skin protective properties, helps to control tissue degeneration.
