It has the scent of orange and lemon with light floral tones. Legend has it that Christopher Columbus found the tree in the Canary Islands and brought it to Spain and Italy. Records are that it has been popular in Florence, Italian folk medicine since 1725. Bergamot gives this unusual flavor to Early Gray tea. The form is often used in Aromatherapy for uplifting qualities and may be the first choice for depressive states. It is probably one of the most common ingredients of all perfumes, especially Eau de Cologne (cologne). Its calming yet uplifting character; Perfect for anxiety, depression and nervous tension.
